The Brontё Parsonage Museum 7th May
The landlord was very kind to me,and he let me leave my luggage there.
I went out to the City Center Of Bradford. At New Exchange Bus Station, I got on a bus to Haworth. Start at 10:00 a.m. Arrival at about 11:00 a.m.
I entered the Brontё Parsonage Museum first. I saw raining out of the window, and twigs swinging . An old organ which Emily used to play. A kitchen where she would often learn German, while preparing a meal. I went upstairs. There was a children's room, on the white wall of which I found a woman's face described with a pencil......etc.
I went out, and saw Old Sun Hotel, which was listed on a pamphlet. £3.78 a night, not so expensive. I decided to stay there. West Lane,Haworth. Tel. : Haworth 2780.
I went out at about 2 p.m. I began to walk southward from the back of the graveyard to the moor. It was blowing hard, and I couldn't almost stand still on the top of the hill. There was a playground growing lawn nearby, surrounded with small fence of stone. More than ten people were just about to play criket, I suppose.
I continued to walk ahead. ......All of a sudden, I had a shower and was drenched to the skin. It stopped raining within ten minutes and it began to shine. But after the short interval raining again. ...shining again, ...oh, raining. Alas! How changeable it was!
I walked to the place,"Brontё Bridge & Fall", and returned. On my way back to the hotel, I clearly remembered that there was a picture of it in the book I borrowed from my college library last year. It began to rain suddenly just before I reached the hotel. It was about 5 p.m.
I was looking for the derelict farm, but I couldn't find it. The booklet which I bought at the Brontё Parsonage Museum says that the Derelict Farm is a little far from the Water Falls. I'll go there tomorrow. I hope it will be fine!
I hear many kinds of lively voice from the lounge bar downstairs. It's just 10 p.m. at Suturday night. It is still raining and blowing. I sometimes hear rattle at the window. Without the people's voice downstairs, I could feel in the scene of "Wuthering Heights".

Derelict Farm 8th May
I started at 9:15 a.m. Heaven be thanked! It was fine.
I rarely saw cars or pedestrians. I felt a little perspiration on the forehead when I was walking into the moor after passing Intake. I took a rest for a while at Water Falls. I found the water very clear. I scooped up a bit with my hands and drank into my throat. It tasted good and I felt refreshed.
I went over the little Brontё Bridge. When I was walking up the hill, I caught the sight of the derelict farm far ahead near the top of the hill. It took a long time to reach there. Long distance! I got very tired.

Derelict Farm(looking downward) I sat down on the slope a little upward of the derelict farm and looked it down. After a while six people, who were supposed to be family, came nearer from the direction of Top Withens. I left there when they were taking pictures of themselves in front of the farm.
I walked through the moor with no path. I felt a little uneasy. After I found a sheep dead, I stepped faster. The family were going down to Stanbury. I stopped walking and recognized my direction judging from the distance between us and their direction. I repeated this several times. The sun had disappeared for a long time, but the look of the sky taught me that it wouldn't rain. It wasn't blowing today, very different from stormy weather yesterday.
I came to Penistone Crag without any accidents. I didn't notice the natural stone outcrop with a hole. It is said that there was a tradition that if a single woman crept through the hole, she would be married within the year. I'm a single man. It's none of my business, isn't it?
I went down overlooking Ponden Clough Vally. When I came near Ponden Hall, I came across the family and said hello to them. I pushed a bell button at the gate, but nobody came out. I thought they had been unable to enter Ponden Hall.

Silent Inn My watch showed 12:20 when I arrived at Silent Inn. I ordered a cup of coffee and sandwich. Many people came in for lunch in about five minutes. I went out immediately after finishing my lunch. I had been walking several minutes when a car stopped just before me. The driver kindly invited me to get on his car. He knew little about Japan but was interested in Japanese cars. When the car was out of sight in Haworth, a few scenes came to my mind. A family of four was taking a meal beside me at Silent Inn. My eyes met with the husband's when I left there. I said good-bye to them.
I entered the Brontё Parsonage Museum again. I left Haworth at 4:40 p.m. by bus.
